The last episode of Season 3 of Stranger Things was good for fans. It gave some of our favorite characters a fresh start and made us feel many different things. We thought that the ending showed Hawkins a better future. With the release of Season 4, things in the small, troubled town have never been worse.
After Season 3, I thought this show would end. I didn’t believe it could get any better. I was wrong, though. I was way off. Here are seven reasons why Stranger Things season 4 might be the best.
Acting
Stranger Things has always been able to act well. The main cast was put together so well that a few bad performances don’t matter. A big part of Stranger Things’ success comes from how it casts its characters, especially the kids. New characters are introduced in Season 4, and I’ll say that you’ll love Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn.
Sadie Sink, who played Max. David Harbor, who played Jim Hopper. Millie Bobby Brown, who played Eleven, Joe Keery, Steve Harrington, Gaten Matarazzo, Dustin, Caleb McLaughlin, and Lucas Sinclair. Natalia Dyer, who played Nancy Wheeler. And last but not least, Jamie Campbell Bower gave great performances.
The Music
Stranger Things has always brought back the best things from the 1980s. Season 4 is the same. Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) by Kate Bush is #4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for the week of June 18, 2022, thanks to Stranger Things. The song came out on the album Hounds of Love in 1985. That was almost 40 years ago.
It’s a big deal that 37 years later, it’s almost at the top of the charts. In one of the best scenes of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers helped fans find this great song again. Kate Bush was just as happy about the news, and in a statement on her website, she said how much she loves her fans and the show.
Visual Effects
What TV show comes to your mind when you think about mind-blowing effects? What is Game of Thrones? Westworld? Where’s everyone? Well, you might want to add Stranger Things to that list because the visual effects in Season 4 are some of the best we’ve seen on TV.
Imagery will continue to be a powerful tool in movies. Stranger Things makes the most of this tool when rendering its setting and characters. Each scene that is drawn sets the mood that the artist wants. Some are scary, but others are stunningly beautiful.
The Villain
The main bad guy in Season 4 of Stranger Things is named Vecna, and he is both scary and mean. From the start, he makes us interested and keeps us wanting more. Vecna follows his victims around like a hawk follows a lizard, and then he attacks them when they are weakest.
The way he kills people is horrifying and he shows no sign of feeling bad about it. A bad guy needs to be strong, determined, and evil. This is a perfect way to describe Vecna. You feel like the victim doesn’t have a chance whenever he shows up.
The New Environments
In the last episode of Season 3, Joyce, Will, Jonathan, and Eleven move to California, separating the group. Hopper appeared to have died to ensure the positive side gate was closed. Season 4 moves away from Hawkins and shows us how Eleven deals with a new place where she doesn’t have her powers.
The Run-Time
The average length of Season 4 Episodes 1–6 is about 1 hour and 13 minutes. As we get closer to the end, the episodes start to get longer in Episode 7. It’s 1 hour and 38 minutes long. This might appear like a long time, but if you’re a big fan of the show, the rest of the episodes will go by quickly. Stranger Things keeps fans watching through the mystery, even though the build-up can feel slow.
Special effects with a big budget
Wall Street Journal says that Netflix spent $30 million per Season 4 episode. Not only are the special effects different, but the story is also different. The show will feel like it was made with a lot of money. The way Vecna is made looks very real, and he fits right in with his surroundings, which makes him even scarier. Also, the scenes where the movie is turned upside down are out of this world.
